The video shows group mode. The glasses set up the zone from which voices are to be identified – in this case from all the persons around the table (large gray zone). In addition, the glasses will focus on the person you are talking to (blue narrow zone / beam). It means you will hear all the persons around the table but the voice to the person you are talking to is tuned up so it stands out more than the other voices around.
